Mommy's Field Trip to the Elmwood Park Zoo

Mommy took her third graders to the Elmwood Park Zoo, sometime in May (we can't remember an exact date at this point) anyway, Nana walked her class and Mommy drove me in the car. Mommy drove because she didn't think the long (2 mile) walk would be good for her even though we had good weather. (She did get out of the car at each intersection and stop cars though!) And of course Nana led the crew of 60 students and adults though the streets of Norristown - a field trip she's made many a times in her teaching career. The trek gave her lots of motivation and helped to build her stamina - something she will need for her trip to EGYPT in late June! There's NO stopping this Nana in her 70's!
So I had a great time with Nana and Mommy at the zoo! Mommy had enough chaperones for her students, that she got to walk around the park with just me and Nana, taking her time and enjoying herself! We saw the goats (a favorite of mine), I got my first ride on a pony - Nana wanted me to go on - I had so much fun! We went around the trail 2 times and Mommy got some great pictures of me! We also saw the prairie dogs, flamingoes and otters, just to name a few. What a great day!
...and the day ended with a popsicle - so what could be better?
