Ethan - 21 months and Jack - 2 weeks one day old (as of Tuesday)

Well, here we are - the Howell boys! Mommy really wanted a picture of the two of us together - I did the best I could!
I do love my brother, it's just a little getting used to!
Uncle Keith and Angie came up last night to help Mommy out a little and play with me.
We had fun together!
They enjoyed watching me run around the house and dance to the music - I made them laugh a lot!
Thanks for the visit! Mommy needed it!

Making Mommy's Day!

Mommy won't lie - she's having a tough time recovering! Thanks to Nana and Aunt Neenie she's been able to rest and focus on Jackson. Nana comes over each day and Aunt Neenie comes over after work. We have a lot of fun together, but I know it's hard for Mommy to not be involved with all the everyday things with me. So yesterday afternoon, after she woke up from her nap, Nana said she had more flowers delivered (she already had a beautiful bouquet sent from school, and one Nana and Pop-Pop sent her in the hospital).
Mommy couldn't believe her eyes - 2 dozen roses and the card read, "To the best Mommy!" Love, Jackson - that really made her day!

visits in the hospital

So while Mommy was in the hospital for the four days, Nana brought me to see her usually two times a day. They were sometimes quick visits (Nana said I was a little too much to handle with all the excitement and all).
Aunt Neenie, Uncle Keith, Nana, Pop-Pop, Daddy, Uncle Ed, Uncle Ed's Mom Leslie, Angie and two of Mommy's friends from school, Jen and Stephanie all came to visit Mommy and Jackson in the hospital. It was good for Mommy and some of the times we went down the hall to a nice quiet room where I could run around and not get into things. As you can see I really had fun getting to know my new little brother!

my new baby brother - Jackson Parker Howell

So it's been a week with my new baby brother and I just love him! Mommy and Jackson came home this past Friday. Mommy was glad to be home because she missed me lots! Her hospital stay was a good one - but a little crowded because she and Jackson had to share her room with another Mommy and her twins! (She didn't get much sleep!) Everyone is doing really well, but recovery for Mommy is a little more than she remembered! So here are the specifics of how my new baby brother came into the world...
Mommy and Daddy went to Phoenixville Hospital at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5th. (I was sleeping at Nana and Pop-Pop's for the week.) After all of the pre-op stuff, Mommy was wheeled into the operating room and waited for Daddy to join her. Now, this was no big deal for her because she had a c-section with me, so she kind of knew what to expect. However, that being said, nothing is ever the same twice. So as her Dr. was ready to deliver my new baby brother, Mommy said, "Wait, where is my husband?" and the nurse had to go running down the hall to get Daddy. In the meantime the nurses and doctors in the operating room were very nice to Mommy and had her laughing. The anesthesiologist even held her hand to keep her calm as she waited for Daddy! Daddy came bursting into the room - scrubs and all, and 30 seconds later (at 9:45 a.m.) Jackson Parker Howell was born! He actually kicked the Dr. when she pulled him out (Mommy wasn't surprised about that!) He was weighed in at 7 lbs. 13 oz. 20 in. long. Daddy stayed with Jackson while Mommy went to the recovery room for a while. A little later everyone was together and enjoying our new family member! Nana brought me over later so I could join in on the fun! Here are some pictures of the BIG day!

So the next time you'll see me...

We are finally winding down to the wait of my little brother.... by this time tomorrow he'll be here!
Actually, Mommy is going to the hospital at 7:00 a.m. to have her c-section!
She is very excited - she said she feels like she's going on vacation (or something like that!)
We are all so excited to meet him - and give him a name (we're still working on that...)
So the next time you see me I'll be introducing my new brother!
I guess I'm ready to start "sharing the spotlight!"

Cousin's Party

We've been hanging out with our cousins and having a blast! These are just a few pictures from Mommy's camera to show the fun I was having! Daddy had to chase after me a lot since Mommy was feeling a little "BIG" that day! I wish I had more pictures to show you of my cousins, but Daddy was the one taking most of the pictures that day, and a lot of them were goofy ones and didn't turn out so well - maybe next time!
