my new baby brother - Jackson Parker Howell

So it's been a week with my new baby brother and I just love him! Mommy and Jackson came home this past Friday. Mommy was glad to be home because she missed me lots! Her hospital stay was a good one - but a little crowded because she and Jackson had to share her room with another Mommy and her twins! (She didn't get much sleep!) Everyone is doing really well, but recovery for Mommy is a little more than she remembered! So here are the specifics of how my new baby brother came into the world...
Mommy and Daddy went to Phoenixville Hospital at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5th. (I was sleeping at Nana and Pop-Pop's for the week.) After all of the pre-op stuff, Mommy was wheeled into the operating room and waited for Daddy to join her. Now, this was no big deal for her because she had a c-section with me, so she kind of knew what to expect. However, that being said, nothing is ever the same twice. So as her Dr. was ready to deliver my new baby brother, Mommy said, "Wait, where is my husband?" and the nurse had to go running down the hall to get Daddy. In the meantime the nurses and doctors in the operating room were very nice to Mommy and had her laughing. The anesthesiologist even held her hand to keep her calm as she waited for Daddy! Daddy came bursting into the room - scrubs and all, and 30 seconds later (at 9:45 a.m.) Jackson Parker Howell was born! He actually kicked the Dr. when she pulled him out (Mommy wasn't surprised about that!) He was weighed in at 7 lbs. 13 oz. 20 in. long. Daddy stayed with Jackson while Mommy went to the recovery room for a while. A little later everyone was together and enjoying our new family member! Nana brought me over later so I could join in on the fun! Here are some pictures of the BIG day!

We have a little Jackson at our house too. Hopefully soon all the boys can play together!

I'm so happy for your family!
