It was a really hard day for Mommy today.
A year ago we lost our dear sweet Nana Parker.
She's with Jesus now and knowing that makes it a little easier to get along without her.
Mommy misses going to visit her and taking me with her.
She says that Nana would just light up when she saw me.
She loved to hold me and said I was "as bright as a dollar!"
Nana would be so happy to see me with my brother Jack - but we know she's watching down on us from heaven.
Looking at some of these pictures today made Mommy smile remembering the good times (and laughs) we always had with Nana.
She will always be in our hearts!
We love you Nana Parker!
Mommy thought it might be fun to share some of her memories of Nana:
-Nana loved chocolate!
-she always had lots of goodies on hand
-Nana was always dressed up (even if she was sitting on the couch)
-she had pink slippers (she loved pink)
-Nana wore high heels for most of her life
-she loved to watch the Food Network, and lots of older shows like Little House on the Prarie, but Mommy remembers watching lots of Wheel of Fortune with her when she was younger
-at Christmas we would always tell Nana to "hurry up" as she would slowly unwrap her presents and then refold the wrapping paper after she opened the present!
-Nana always had a kind word to say
-Nana has 4 children (Nana Hardman is one of them) and her oldest son Alan - who has since past, shares the same birthday with Jackson
-Nana's lived at 65 Beverly Blvd. since Mommy can remember!
-she always used to use Aqua Net hair spray and wore a scarf when it was windy
-Nana never changed her hair do!
-she loved to wear lipstick and paint her nails
-she always carried mints with her
-Nana loved to read
Mommy will still always miss her Nana, but thinking of these funny memories made her smile!
